5. Wat zijn IP-codes?
Voor LED verlichting en alle andere verlichting in het algemeen en specifiek voor buitenverlichting en badkamerverlichting is het van belang dat de lamp en/of armatuur in bepaalde mate beschermd is tegen het binnendringen van vaststoffen en vloeistoffen.
Deze beschermingsgraad tegen vaststoffen en vloeistoffen is vastgelegd in de IP-normering (International Protection normering).
De codering bestaat uit de letters IP, gevolgd door 2 cijfers. Het eerste cijfer geeft het niveau van bescherming aan tegen vaststoffen en het tweede cijfer de bescherming tegen vloeistoffen. Hoe hoger het tweede cijfer achter de letters IP, hoe groter de bescherming is tegen vloeistoffen. De exacte betekenis van de IP-normering:
Eerste cijfer, bescherming tegen voorwerpen en stof:

11. LED bulbs are suitable for existing fixtures?
Yes Sure include LEDw@re or one of our dealers advise only on LED lighting with standard fittings. So you can use lamps with E27 screw directly into hanging lamps and floor lamps.
E14 Small cap is usually used in chandeliers and wall lamps.
The use of LED lights in halogen lighting can sometimes be problematic, because some halogen transformers require a minimum installed capacity.

12. My current lamp has a different shape or fitting than the specified choices.
It may be that there for your type lamp is not yet sufficiently LED alternatives on the market. We are dependent on the supply of manufacturers and retailers. As new products come to market, we will add it to our database. Therefore check regularly www.led-verlichting.org.
